Dental Staff

Dr. Shantell grew up in Jamestown, North Dakota. She is the oldest of five children with over thirty cousins. She attended Minnesota State University-Moorhead for her undergraduate program where she volunteered at the daycare daily and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Biology with an Emphasis in Health and Medical Sciences and a Chemistry Minor degree.

Dr. Shantell has three lovely and very active children ages 3 months , 2 years and 4 years old with her husband Jake. She met Jake in her class while attending Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, NE. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association and the Spokane District Dental Society. When she and Jake aren’t practicing dentistry or chasing the children around they love to travel, visit family back in North Dakota and Dr. Shantell loves eating ice cream.

Working with children is a privilege and a pleasure for Dr. Shantell. She has a true knack with kids. Her genuine compassion for her patients and their parents is apparent with every thorough dental visit. She looks forward to going to work every day. Her goal is to make any child’s dental experience a fun- filled, creative adventure.
